The Middlebury Neighborhoods Energy Projects were locally-driven efforts in 2018 providing opportunities for energy savings to all residents in two neighborhoods. Aggressive goals for raising awareness, participation, and undertaking measures were established to guide and motivate a team of trained neighborhood volunteers.
The program was designed to be flexible with many different offerings, and simple so it did not overwhelm possible participants. It was also designed to coordinate the different efficiency and renewables offerings of the utilities that serve Middlebury.
