Community Energy & Climate Roundtable March 19
As federal climate action stalls, local and regional efforts have never been more critical in addressing the climate crisis and helping households reduce energy costs. In response, the Climate Economy Action Center of Addison County (CEAC) is hosting a Community Roundtable on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at the Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society (2 Duane Court, Middlebury, VT).
This event will convene leaders from 14 local organizations working to connect low- and moderate-income (LMI) households to energy efficiency solutions, as well as broader community-based climate initiatives. The Roundtable will feature a series of lightning presentations, where organizations will share their work, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration. Attendees will gain valuable insight into existing local efforts, explore potential partnerships, and leave with actionable ideas for strengthening climate and energy resilience in our communities.
Participating organizations include:
ACORN
Addison County Regional Planning Commission
Addison Housing Works
Champlain Valley Farmers Coalition
CVOEO
CEAC/Energy Navigator
Home Share
NeighborWorks
Thermal Energy Network Working Group
Tri Valley Transit
Walk/Bike Council
Window Dressers
Zero Energy Now
350 VT Addison County Node
Following the presentations, attendees will engage in a facilitated discussion aimed at identifying new opportunities for collaboration, scaling up local climate solutions, and ensuring that our community receives the support they need to lower their energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint.
The event is free and open to the public. Community members, local leaders, and organizations interested in energy affordability, climate resilience, and grassroots solutions are encouraged to attend.
